  La Mode Outré (said la-mode-oo-tray) is an Asian street style site that is run solely by myself, James Bent (this links to my Facebook profile, you’re welcome to add me as a friend!) - I’m a British Photographer living and travelling across Asia, together with my partner Stacey Young who runs her own street style site StyleSophomore.
  
  La Mode Outré started back in January of 2010. Stacey had been suggesting I go out onto the streets and take photos of people because I used to write short stories for which I used photographs of people (mainly from a book I discovered while living in Sydney, Australia, by The Sartorialist - at the time unknown to me) to base characters on. Then it just kind of grew and changed over time into a street style site and from there it’s taken on a life of it’s own to some extent.
  
  I’ve already spent a lot of time in South-East Asia, Taiwan, Korea and Japan, and for the first half of 2013 we’ll be in Taipei, Hong Kong, Seoul & Tokyo! The photographs on the site currently come from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
